West Valley Girls win Doc Larson Basketball tournament;Sierra Tate named Tournament MVP

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The West Valley Wolfpack girls basketball team wrapped up tournament action away from home.
In wasilla's Doc Larson Tournament, they dominated the competition in all three games, defeating Ketchikan 66-31 in their tournament opener.
They then defeated Palmer 60-41 before closing out the Round-Robin with a 51-36 win over Wasilla on Saturday.
Sheridan Blasey led the scoring efforts against Palmer, finishing the game with 21 points and pulling down 15 rebounds.
In the tournament finale, Sierra Tate led the pack with 20 points in her third consecutive double-digit point total.
She also dropped 11 points against Ketchikan and 16 against Wasilla.
Tate was named Tournament MVP, while UAA Basketball commit Ellen Silva was also named to the All-Tournament team.
Next up for the Wolfpack Girls, they'll be off until they host the West Valley Invitational in January.
