UAF swimming adds Leeson as assistant coach

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks swim program added another member to the team, tabbing Kelsey Leeson to be the newest assistant coach.
Leeson was the head coach at Juan Diego Catholic High School and at the Summit Academy.​
She coached the boys team to a Region 9 championship and an individual state winner.​
In her college years, Leeson was a four-year swimmer for St. Cloud State where current Nanook head coach Becca Weiland was an assistant at.​
Leeson was a three time NCAA qualifier, and was also an all-American in the 200 medley relay.​
She also holds school records in the 200 and 400 medley relays.​
She joins Weiland's staff, who is starting her first season as the head coach of the Nanooks.​
