FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) The Alaska Nanooks traveled down South to take on the Anchorage Seawolves for a GNAC volleyball match-up.

Despite leading 2-1, the Nooks fell in five sets to their in-state rivals. Markie Miller led the Nanooks with 16 kills, while Cate Whiting chipped in 37 assists.
In the fifth set, both teams were tied up at 11-11 before Alaska gave up four straight service aces to lose 15-11. This drops their GNAC record to 6-5, as they sit at fifth in the conference.

The blue and gold will look to snap their four game losing streak on Saturday for a road match-up against the Montana State Billings Yellowjackets.
