UAF Associate Athletic Director Zack Hurst announces resignation

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - There is another vacancy in the Alaska Nanook Athletic Department. Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs Zack Hurst has announced his resignation.
Hurst has been working in the Nanook Athletic Department since former Athletic Director Gary Gray brought him in in November of 2014.
His main job with the University was to oversee marketing, promotions, and revenue generation.
Zack released a statement this morning thanking the Athletic Department, the University, and the community for the time he spent at the University of Alaska.
This creates another open spot in the UAF Athletic Department, who are still searching for their new Athletic Director.
To this point, no offers have been made to the finalists for the job since they were brought up to campus a month ago, although a source within the university says they are "close" to securing a new hire.
