FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The final games for the baseball season concluded over the weekend to help prepare for the MAC tournament.
We start with the Hutchison Hawks, as they had to rally to beat the Eielson Ravens.
Hutch scored eight unanswered runs to win 9-3 over their conference rivals.
Ryan Young led the Hawks with two runs, one hit and two RBis, Josh Bronson dominated from the mound with 16 strikeouts and only giving up three hits.
Brayden Grorud fanned 10 batters for Eielson, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to quiet Hutch's offense.
However they couldn't keep up the momentum in a matchup against the West Valley Wolfpack.
The red and gold relied on their bats, as Grayden Lesneski and Shaun Conwell combined for four runs, five hits and seven RBIs as they won 14-3.
West Valley as a team had 17 hits.
Lesneski also ruled from the mound with six strikeouts.
The Delta Junction Huskies secured a 7-4 victory over the Eielson Ravens.
Justin Gerhart led Delta with three runs, two hits and an RBI, as they bounced back from being down 2-0 after the second inning.
The Monroe Catholic Rams also found a victory, as they took down the Lathrop Malemutes at Growden Park.
The blue and gold won 14-4 over Lathrop thanks to Jake Footit, who had two runs, two hits and two RBIs.
The North Pole Patriots also took on a conference foe, taking down the Malemutes.
North Pole won 6-3 thanks to Alex Garcia getting two RBIs, while Gavin Fischer had nine strikeouts for the Pats.
