FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Some games are blowouts, some are close.
However, some come down to the wire.
Last night, it was a game of momentum between the Alaska Wild and the Fairbanks Post 11 49ers, that ended in a walk-off victory.
The Wild got the game-winner from Alex Staker who brought in Dustin Petersen on a line drive to center field in the ninth frame.
Alaska won 6-5 over the 9ers, as offensively Gavin Fischer and Hatcher Wendt combined for three runs, five hits and three RBIs for the Wild.
For Post 11 both Josh Bronson and Gus Jensen added up for four RBIs, but it wasn't enough to offset Fischer's 13 strikeouts from the mound.
In the top of the seventh the 49ers forced extra innings by getting three runs.
The Wild now face the Goldpanners tomorrow, while Post 11 face South Post 4 at Marlin Field on Sunday.
