The Region VI ski championships concluded over the weekend with the West Valley Wolfpack dominating

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Region Six Cross Country Skiing Championships concluded over the weekend with spots in the Alaska State Finals on the line, and we start in the girls' division.
In the girls' 7.5K mass start, Kendall Kramer dominated once again for the West Valley Wolfpack as Kramer took home the gold with a run time of 21 minutes and 57.7 seconds.
In fact the Wolpack took the top four spots in this race, with Victoria Bassette, Maggie Whitaker and Emma Jerome.
Lathrop's top skier was Abigail Haas who finished in fifth with a time of 24 minutes and 39.7 seconds.
While the Hutchison Hawks' saw Isabeliah Hamilton come in 24th.
On Day 2 the girls' 4-by-3K classic relay saw West Valley take first once again, with the team of Emma Jerome, Victoria Bassette, Maggie Whitaker and Kendall Kramer took home the gold with a time of 40 minutes and 27.7 seconds.
Lathrop took second with Tjarn Bross, Abigail Haas, Claire Hanneman and Madelyn Wonderlich.
The boys' division saw a similar result with the West Valley Wolfpack dominating the field.
Ari Endestad took home first in the boys' 10K mass start with a run time of 26 minutes and 40.2 seconds for West Valley.
The top nine spots wore red that day, as the Wolfpack had Endestad, Eric Difolco, Jordan Laker-Morris, Dale Baurick, Justice Bassestte, Josh Baurick, Sam Delamere, Thomas Bueler and Nolan Earnest.
Lathrop's top finisher was Daryn Espinosa and Hutch's top skier was David Kameron.
On Day 2 the boys' 4-by-3K West Valley took the top six spots for the relay teams with the team of Josh Baurick, Thomas Bueler, Eric Difolco and Ari Endestad.
The top skiers stay here in town for the state championships that will start on February 21 at Birch Hill.
