The Pack Hockey program debut on the ice with six goals against North Pole

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Pack hockey team, which is made up of West Valley and Lathrop athletes, competed for the first time on Tuesday when they faced the North Pole Patriots.
The Pack rolled to a 6-2 victory thanks in large part to Trenton Spears for his four goals on the day.
He in fact dropped a goal less than 30 seconds into the match.
The Pack are trying a two goalie system as weel, rolling with Michael Swarmer first then turned to Alexys Summar in the second half of the game.
The Patriots fought hard against the juggernaut including a goal from Hunter Matterson and Seth Theriault.
North Pole now prepares for the Peninsula Ice Challenge in Soldotna, while the Pack play the Hutchison Hawks next Tuesday.
