The Monroe Catholic Rams sweep Eielson in Aurora Conference Volleyball action

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Eielson Ravens volleyball program scored a victory over the Galena Hawks, claiming a conference victory.
The Ravens won 3-1 over the Hawks, taking the first 2 sets 25-12 and 26-24.
Then they fell in the third set, but closed out the match in the fourth set, winning 25-22.
Jessica Eid led the Dirty Birds with 6 service aces, while Tatyana Kincade finished with 7 kills.
However, their celebration was ended by the Monroe Catholic Rams, who swept the Ravens last night.
The Rams continue to lead their strong season, dominating the Dirty Birds.
The Rams won the sets 25-19, 25-18 and 25-12 as Chloe Maynard scored 12 kills and 4 blocks on the night for Monroe.
Eid led the Ravens with 14 digs, but they were no match for the strong attacks from the Rams.
Monroe are now 5-1, and are a perfect 2 and Oh in the Aurora Conference.
They face the Lathrop Malemutes tonight at home, while the 2-2 Ravens face the Barrow Whalers tomorrow night.
