FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Lathrop Malemutes' boys squad took on the Hutchison Hawks last night, and displayed one of the fastest attacks in the state.
The purple and gold won 11-1 over Hutch thanks to Connor Musick's four goals on the night.
Musick showed some serious speed on the field, blazing through Hutch's defense.
Both Graham Wappett and Carter Mahler kicked in two goals apiece to help the offensive onslaught against the Hawks.
Baird Reynolds, Jackson Reynolds and Zach Herron all scored as well to Lathrop pile on the goals.
Lathrop will face the Monroe Catholic Rams next week while Hutchison faces the Eielson Ravens next Tuesday.
Musick spoke about getting the victory.
"I think what really helped out there was our team work which made it all happen out there. I think we're really solid right now considering we lost a few players last year it's a rebuilding year and I think we're off to a pretty good start," said Musick.
