FAIRBANKS, Alaska - We start with today with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs who are currently on a road trip for the NAHL showcase, unfortunately they fell again, this time to the Minnesota Wilderness.
The Ice Dogs couldn't contain Minnesota's offense in the third period, as they lost 4-1.
It started off poorly for the Fairbanks team, as Dylan Johnson found the back of the net 13 seconds into the contest, giving the Wilderness the early lead.
The Ice Dogs had to wait until the second period when Nigel Nelson got them on the board thanks to a pass from Tanner Edwards.
However, the game went into the third where the Dogs couldn't hold up, as Aaron Myers scored on a power play, Gino Lucia scored unassisted and Myers followed up with an empty netter.
Mattias Sholl was in goal for Fairbanks, giving up three goals on 32 shots.
So far in four games, the Ice Dogs sit at 0-3-1 with a point in the standings.
Their next game is tomorrow at the showcase when they face the Johnston Tomahawks who are 3-0.
