The Eielson Ravens and the Monroe Catholic Rams are heading to state for the 3A Boys' Tournament

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Aurora Conference Tournament ended over the weekend in Valdez with spots open for the 3A Boys' Championships.
In the consolation final, the Eielson Ravens were facing their Interior rivals in the Monroe Catholic Rams.​
The Dirty Birds grabbed the second spot out of the Aurora for state thanks to a 48-43 victory over the Rams.​
Matthew Scarboro and DeAndre Ford led the Ravens with double-doubles as both had 11 points and over 10 rebounds each.​
Isaac Garcia led Monroe with 15 points and eight rebounds.​
Eielson earned the fifth seed in the 3A Boys' bracket, and they will face the fourth seeded Nome-Beltz Nanooks in the first round on March 21, while the Rams earned the at large bid and was given the number seven seed and they will face the Valdez Buccaneers in the first round.​
