The Alaska Nanooks volleyball program swept the Concordia Cavaliers over the weekend

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks volleyball team accomplished something for the first time since 2004, as they swept back to back conference opponents 3-0.
The Nooks took the match against the Concordia Cavaliers in a sweep, taking the sets 25-16, 25-20 and 25-22.
Lahra Weber displayed expert power on the nets with 15 kills.
Makena Overbey chipped in three aces, while Cate Whiting laid out 34 assists.
Their defense was on point against the Cavs, holding their GNAC foe to only .050 hitting percentage, while the offense exploded in the second set with 16 kills and hitting .389.
Concordia didn't help themselves with 24 errors on the night.
The Nanooks improve to 5-10 and are 3-5 in conference play.
Their next matchup is this Thursday on the road against the Seattle Pacific Falcons.
