FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks volleyball program has turned back the clock, extending their winning streak to four in the conference for the first time since 2008.
And they did so behind a gritty defensive effort from Kim Wong.
Wong had herself a night with 10 blocks on Saturday, as the Nooks swept the Saint Martin's Saints 25-15, 25-18 and 25-20.
Wong also had seven kills to help Alaska improve to 7-10 overall, and 5-5 in the GNAC.
The Nanooks have matched their win total in the conference from last year, and they can thank their offense coming together nicely in the sweep.
Cate Whiting led with 28 assists and Lahra Weber had 11 kills.
The Nooks now prepare to face their archival in the Anchorage Seawolves tomorrow night at the Patty Center.
