The Alaska Nanooks scored 13 goals against Simon Fraser

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Head Coach Erik Largen said that this Alaska Nanooks hockey team will be fast, and well they are fast and they score fast.
In their exhibition match against the Clan of Simon Fraser, and the Nooks scored more goals than I have fingers.
Alaska won 13-1 against the Clan, and it started with a power play goal for Kylar Hope.
The rest of the first period saw Tyler Cline, Chad Staley, Nikolas Koberstein and Colton Leiter score.
In the second period, Staley got his second goal while Brennan Blaszczak, Steven Jandric and Troy Van Tetering chipped in goals.
Then in the third period, Simon Fraser found the back of the net, while Leiter got his second goal and Sam Ruffin got a hat trick in the final three minutes of the game.
The Nooks start their regular season slate with a series against the Arizona State Sun Devils on the road.
