The Alaska Nanooks had Kylar Hope and Tristan Thompson get recognition from the WCHA

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - This past weekend the Alaska Nanooks swept the Ferris State Bulldogs, and the WCHA awarded both Kylar Hope and Tristan Thompson for their efforts.
Hope was an important piece in the Nanook offense against the Ferris State Bulldogs.
Hope had a goal and three assists during Alaska's first series sweep of the season.
The junior forward had the key assist on Steven Jandric's game winner in overtime, and had three points in the 6-2 thumping over the Bulldogs.
Then Thompson was named the defenseman of the week, as the junior for the Nanooks dropped four points in their series sweep over Ferris State.
Thompson had 2 goals and 2 assists, as the defenseman helped the Nooks close the Bulldogs in Game 2 and held a plus-3 rating for the weekend.
This is the first time these two guys have been awarded by the conference weekly awards.
The Nooks plays this week at home against the Lake Superior State Lakers.
