The Alaska Nanooks fall to their former head coach on the road

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks started their GNAC schedule with a close loss to their former head coach, as their comeback fell short in the final seconds against the Montana State Billings Yellowjackets.
The Nooks fell 79-76, as they faced Mick Durham for the first time since he resigned from Alaska earlier this year.
Aushanti Potts-Woods continued to be very effective off the bench for the Nanooks, as the junior guard from North Idaho College scored 21 points and went 5-10 from downtown.
Alex Baham scored 13, and Spencer Sweet dropped 12.
The Nanooks battled back from a deficit of 12, as the Yellowjackets stood at 50-38 with about 17 minutes left in the second half.
And the Nooks were in a tug of war till the end, but the Nanooks missed 2 three-pointers in the final 4 seconds.
Alaska drop to 3-5, and are 0-1 in the conference, and will look to rebound when they host the Anchorage Seawolves for a rivalry matchup on December 8 at the Patty Center.
