The Alaska Nanooks fall to Central Washington

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks Women's Basketball program played in their penultimate game of the regular season against the Central Washington Wildcats.
The Nooks lost 77-50 despite their strong start in the first quarter.
Alaska fell behind due to the third quarter, as the Wildcats outscored them 17-8.
Sabrina Ungaro led the Nanooks with 15 points, while Marian Wamsley chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds.
The Nooks struggled at the rim, missing a lot of shots at point blank.
They did however knock down 43 percent of their threes.
The Nanooks drop to 1-18 in the GNAC with a match against the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks.
This is also Senior Night for the Nanooks as they celebrate the careers of Angela Murnion, Emily Evans, Ashlie Blackburn and Marian Wamsley.
This game starts tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Patty Center.
