The Alaska Nanooks fall again to the Seawolves in GNAC volleyball

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks volleyball team headed off down to Anchorage looking to win their first GNAC match of the young season.
However, they were no match for the mighty Seawolves.
The Nooks lost 3-1, extending their losing streak 16 overall to Anchorage.
In the first 2 sets, the Nooks fell 25-17 and 25-16.
Then in the third set, Alaska grabbed it 25-18.
But in the fourth set, they fell 25-19.
The Nanooks struggled, but they were led by Cate Whiting and her 37 assists.
Makena Overbey finished with 16 digs, and Tatum Upchurch rolled out 15 kills.
They were no match for the onslaught laid out by Eve Stephens who knocked in 21 kills.
The 2-8 Nanooks will be on the road this Saturday for a GNAC contest against the Montana State Billings Yellowjackets.
