FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The polls for high school football came out yesterday, showing where the voters think these teams are at before the Week 4 matches.
Starting in the combined polls for DII and DIII, the West Valley Wolfpack reign supreme, as they take over first after beating the Chugiak Mustangs last week.
They take their perfect record down South to face the Soldotna Stars, who are ranked second.
The Stars return to the top 2 after dismantling the Lathrop Malemutes in Week 3.
In third is the Eagle River Wolves.
Eagle River continued their strong season after they ran through Kodiak on their way to a 3 and Oh record.
They have a bye week, giving some time to heal up for Week 5.
In fourth, we have the Palmer Moose who sit at 2-1.
They were supposed to play the Dimond Lynx this week, but the Lynx have been suspended giving the Moose a week of rest.
And in 5th, it's the Ketchikan Kings.
The Kayhi Kings sit at 2 and Oh, and prepare for the Nikiski Bulldogs on the road.
In the Division I polls, the top dog is the Bartlett Golden Bears who took care of business against the West Anchorage Eagles to stay on top.
They face the second best team in the state, the Colony Knights this week.
The Knights rose despite not playing last week due to Dimond's suspension.
Both the Knights and Golden Bears sit perfect in their records.
Then in third is the East Anchorage Thunderbirds who climbed up after dismantling Juneau last week.
They are 2-1, and now face the South Anchorage Wolverines this weekend.
In fourth is the Service Cougars.
After the Cougars lost to West Valley in Week 1, they have beaten the Chugiak Mustangs and the Wasilla Warriors to rise up in the ranks.
They now get ready for the 5th ranked West Eagles for a top 5 matchup.
