The 49ers take down the Alaska Wild

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The American Legion Interior teams battled for the first time this season, as the Alaska Wild and the Fairbanks Post 11 49ers continued their rivalry.
The 9ers had to rally against the Wild to earn the victory 6-3.​
In the first inning, the Wild tacked on three runs putting Fairbanks in a hole.​
Gus Jensen led the 49ers with two hits and two RBIs, while Dustin Petersen had one run, two hits and one RBI for Alaska.​
Shaun Conwell was dominant from the mound for Post 11, getting 11 strikeouts and only gave up four hits.​
Both teams combined for nine errors on the evening at the Marlin Field.​
They face each other again tonight at Arco for some Wednesday Night Baseball.​
