The 2019 Yukon Quest Race Team have been assembled

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The 2019 Yukon Quest Race Team has been finalized with returning faces and new positions being filled as the 1,000 mile race is on the horizon with is starting in less than three months.
First on the list, we have the Race Marshall in Doug Harris who returns for the second straight year.
Harris resides in Whitehorse, Yukon and also has some rich history with the prestigious race, racing in it in 1996 and 1998 while also serving as the Race Marshall in 2000 and 2001.
Next up is Dr. Nina Harris will return as the Head Veterinarian for the fifth time in a row, and will complete a decade worth of service for the Yukon Quest.
Then we have Briana Mackay, who will serve as the Race Manager for the 2019 edition of the race.
Mackay has been on the team for three years as Assistant Race Manager.
And taking the role of the assistant is Heather Scannel who brings a lot of experience with the Yukon Quest, being the Two Rivers checkpoint manager for the past three years.
This also signals the departure of Alex Olesen who was the Race Manager and part of the race for many years.
The race begins on February 2, 2019 starting in Whitehorse, Yukon.
