Spruce Tree Classic has 44 Runners fake on the 10k

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Midnight Sun Run is on the horizon, but before that, we had the Spruce Tree Classic over the weekend.
On a warm day, 44 runners took to the 10K course in the hills of the University.
On the ski trails, Alex Olson took home first for the men's division, beating the field by 2 minutes with a time of 46 minutes and 26 seconds.
For the women's class, Melissa Lewis captured the victory with a time of 50 minutes and 42 seconds.
One of the youngest competitors took 4th, as Daniel Abramowicz did it in a time of 51 minutes and 43 seconds.
The winner Olson spoke about the challenge of facing the Midnight Sun Run.

"I've never done the midnight sun run yet, but I plan on doing it next week, so I'm looking forward to it."
"It's pretty nice, it's quite a change so yeah."
