Smoky Conditions Don't Stop the Goldpanners

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Goldpanners looked to keep the good times rolling, as they extended their winning streak to 5 over the San Diego Waves on a very smoky night.
And the Panners were in a closer match up than the night before.
Alaska collected the 6 to 4 victory over the Waves, thanks in large part to their pitching.
Mitch Allen took to the mound this time around for the Panners.
Allen worked 6.1 innings only allowing 4 hits and getting 4 strikeouts.
Then Alaska brought in Donovan Ramirez for the close, working 2.2 innings getting 2 strikeouts and only giving up 4 hits.
Kyle Knell once again led the Goldpanners from the plate, going 2 for 3 with an RBI.
As a team, they collected 12 hits on the night.
Alaska is now 5 and 0 in the series against the San Diego Waves.
The Panners had to battle late in the contest, as they needed a Tanner Baker RBI triple and Hunter Lessard's RBI double to keep the Waves' rally at bay.
