FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Yesterday at Eielson, football star Ryan Armour signed his National Letter of Intent to play on the next level.
Armour played for the Eielson Ravens and has signed to play for the Benedictine College Ravens.
The Ravens play on the NAIA landscape and finished last year as the second best team in the polls after they went 13-2.
Armour was a first teamer for the Dirty Birds this past season, earning all-state honors as a fullback and led the program to a DIII Alaska state title.
He spoke about hitting the next chapter in his life.
"Probably one of the biggest things is that it's close to my aunt, so I wanted to be close to my family, but it's also a Catholic college, my parents liked it and I liked it, the campus looked really beautiful, but all together I really liked it, most. I'm not expected to do much right now kind if just wanting to learn from the coach, Hall of Fame coach, being able to contribute at some point. Don't know when that would be, but just trying to do my part," said Armour.
