Noah Palmer claims gold for the Hutchison Hawks in the State Finals

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The 2018 state finals for swimming and diving were over the weekend, and the Interior returns a champion, and that is Noah Palmer for the Hutchison Hawks.
Palmer took gold in the boys 500 freestyle, accomplishing the feat in 4 minutes and 42.58 seconds, blowing the competition out of the water by 10 seconds.
Other Interior athletes placed in the state finals, with Katy McCarter taking the bronze in the girls 50 yard freestyle for the Lathrop Malemutes.
Ezra Billings grabbed the silver in the boys 50 free for the West Valley Wolfpack.
McCarter then silvered in the 100 yard freestyle for the Mutes, and Patty Eppingher also got the silver in the girls 100 breaststroke for the Wolfpack.
Palmer also got a silver in the 200 yard IM.
