Nicolas Petit is the first musher into McGrath

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The 2019 Iditarod continues with the mushers battling the elements.
Nicolas Petit is sitting in first after making it to McGrath.
He pulled a fast one on Joar Leifseth Ulsom by staying in Nikolai for four minutes and pulled off in first.
Petit was also awarded the Alaska Air transit Spirit of Iditarod award.
In second is Ulsom and third is Jessie Royer.
In fourth it is Peter Kaiser and fifth is Aliy Zirkle.
In the Red Lantern spot is the rookie Victoria Hardwick.
