Nanooks Volleyball extend their winning streak to three

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks continue to roll in the GNAC, as they grabbed a five set thriller against the Seattle Pacific Falcons down in Washington to extend their winning streak to three for the first time since 2015.
And Lahra Weber showed why she is a bona fide star on the Fairbanks team.
Weber went off for 20 kills in the match, as the Nooks found themselves down early in the game, when they lost the first set 25-19.
But they regrouped to win the next two sets, winning them 25-23 and 25-22.
However, the Falcons forced a fifth set by winning the fourth 25-21.
In the fifth and final set, the Nanooks squeaked out the 15-12 victory which ended with Weber scoring the game winning kill.
Cate Whiting outdueled Symone Tran as she dished out 47 assists on the night.
The Nanooks also had 13 aces, with Weber leading the charge with five on the night.
Mica Shenglen led on the defensive end with 20 digs and Emily Moorhead had five blocks.
Alaska improves to 4-5 in conference play, and prepare for their matchup against the Saint Martin's Saints tomorrow in Lacey, Washington.
