FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks had a rough time at the number four team in the nation in Saint Cloud State University, after they suffered two heavy losses on the road.

In the first match, they held a three to zero lead in the first period, with Kylar Hope, Ryker Leer, and Troy Van Tetering scoring for the Nooks.
However they surrendered six unanswered goals to lose six to three with two of them off of power plays.
In the second match, the Nooks felt heartbreak again as they had a lead in the third period after Tristan Thompson scored on the power play to tie it up, and Ross Heidt scoring six minutes later to take the lead.
However, Saint Cloud stepped in to tie it with about two minutes left in the game, and then win it in overtime with Nick Poehling scoring it.
Zach Frye for the Nooks was given a 15 minute penalty, with contact to the head and game misconduct.
The Nanooks are now Oh-three-and one with a two game losing streak.
Their next game is this Friday with the start of the Governor's Cup at the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves down South.
On Saturday they will face the Seawolves again at 7:07 PM at the Carlson Center.
