Monroe rallies from nine down to beat the Eielson Ravens

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Last night the Monroe Catholic Rams erased a nine run deficit in the bottom of the sixth to beat the Eielson Ravens.
Marian Nelson got the walk-off triple as the blue and gold did the unthinkable and stole the victory from the Ravens.
Casey Elterman led the Rams with four runs, four hits and five RBIs, while McKenzie Paul led Eielson with five runs and three hits.
Monroe now takes on the West Valley Wolfpack tonight, while Eielson faces the Hutchison Hawks.
Marian Nelson spoke about the improbable win.
"Well they had a lot of errors and we started to relax halfway through that game, like it's going to be fine no matter what happens. Yeah I think that was most of it, like being relaxed and on top of it their errors like gave us more energy. Right down to the last thing, I was like two out of these three outs in the inning, I was so scared. I love being under pressure when I'm hitting, I just need to take this first pitch cause I've been hitting first pitches that I'm not doing well. So I took the first pitch and yeah. We come together pretty well and like under pressure," said Nelson.
In the other matchup, the Hutchison Hawks took on the Lathrop Malemutes and were able to secure a 16-6 victory.
Hutch has had a tough time finding their offense, but were able to wake up their bats to put away the purple and gold.
Hutch now faces the Eielson Ravens, while Lathrop takes on North Pole tomorrow.
