Mattias Sholl leads the Ice Dogs at home

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Fairbanks Ice Dogs captured the Midwest Division at home for the final series of the regular season.
They did so against the Kenai River Brown Bears despite falling in Game Two.​
Ice Dogs lost 6-5 in a shootout to Kenai.​
Game Three was much better for the home team as they closed out the regular season with a 3-0 victory behind Mattias Sholl.​
Sholl got another shutout with 24 saves, while Parker Brown and Matt Koethe scored their goals in the second period to give Fairbanks the lead.​
Trenton Woods closed the night with an empty netter.​
They finish the season with a 37-16-3-4 record with 81 points.​
The Ice Dogs prepare for the Midwest Divisional playoffs against the Janesville Jets starting on April 12.​
