FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Yesterday we looked at the top 10 goals of the soccer season.
But we shift gears to the South Davis Softball Complex and look at the top 5 plays of the 2019 softball year.

We start at number five, as Jaedyn Fraser knocks in a two-out RBI for the West Valley Wolfpack in their opening round upset over the Colony Knights.
This pushed them into the semifinals of the Ralbelt Conference tournament.

For number four, the Hutchison Hawks battled back and forth against the Eielson Ravens that went down to a crucial stikeout.
Hutch got it to grab an important MAC victory to move up in the standings.

Our third best play comes from the Lathrop Malemutes.
After getting a run, the purple an gold were caught in a pickle, and somehow both base runners escape without getting out against the Palmer Moose.

Our second best play comes from the Wolfpack again who secured a game clinching out against the Wasilla Warriors.
While yes the play is a routine out to first, this game sent them to the Railbelt finals, where they secured their first conference title since 1994.

And no surprise here, as the top play from the softball season comes from the walk-off win for the Monroe Catholic Rams.
Marian Nelson hits the game winning triple to bring in three runners, as the blue and gold were down by 10 heading into the final frame.
Monroe won over their conference rivals and celebrated the crazy walk-off.

Tomorrow we will look at the top plays of the 2019 season for baseball.
