The Lathrop Malemutes and the North Pole Patriots battled to five sets on the volleyball court for some Mid-Alaska Conference action. The purple and gold had to rally from a 2-1 deficit to win the fifth set.

Harmony La'apui led them with 22 kills, while T.T. Tagovailoa chipped in 18 of her own. Ainsley Smith led North Pole with 24 assists, and Madyson Conley knocked in 14 kills. It was a back and forth affair between the conference rivals, that went down to the wire.

The Malemutes will look to secure another conference victory this week with game against the West Valley Wolfpack tomorrow. The Patriots on the other hand host the Eielson Ravens next Tuesday.

Monroe @ Eielson:

The Monroe Catholic Rams traveled to Eielson to take on the Ravens. The Rams won 3-1 despite falling in the first set.
