FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) Another race, another victory for West Valley's standout skier Kendall Kramer, who earned the best combined time over the weekend to capture her third straight Skimeister title.
On Thursday, Kramer dusted the competition in the 7.5-kilometer freestyle, before also taking first in Friday's classic technique race, winning the races by a combined time of over a minute.
"It feels really awesome, I'm always nervous because of the talent of all the girls around me," Kramer said at the state championships. "Just like the girls in the front pack like Adrianna (Proffitt) and Ivy (Eski) and Garvee (Tobin). I've known them for a while and they're really tough competitors and I'm really grateful for that, so it feels really good. This year there has been a lot of ups and downs, but if I just do my best in every race, then I can't be upset with anything that comes out of it."
