Jonathan Sorenson was named the NAHL Rookie of the Year

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The NAHL announced their awards for the regular season, with one Fairbanks player making a huge impact on the voters.
Jonathan Sorenson was named the Rookie of the Year for the 2018-2019 season.​
The freshman phenom for the Ice Dogs led the program in points this season with 56 thanks to 17 goals and 39 assists.​
Sorenson has been big for the Fairbanks team in the playoffs as he has four goals in five playoff games.​
Sorenson is off to college this upcoming Fall, as he is signed the Division I University of Minnesota.​
He was also named to the all-Midwest team and was crowned the Midwest Division Rookie of the Year.​
The NAHL Rookie of the Year and the Ice Dogs look to sweep the Minnesota Magicians tonight for Game 3.
