FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Lathrop Malemutes saw a pair of football stars sign the dotted line to play on the next level this upcoming fall.
Both Jaden Littell and Juan Mendez had a great connection on the field for Lathrop, and they take it to the next level joining the Baldwin Wallace University Yellowjackets in Berea, Ohio.
The Yellowjackets play on the Division III level, and they went 8-2 last year.
Littell and Mendez dominated with their air attack against their foes in Alaska, and both spoke about heading off to Ohio.
"We went down for a visit, together. The weather was really nice and they had a nice campus, and the coaches are really nice, so it was just really a good feel," said Littell.
"I love the program here. When I was in 8th grade, Coach Balash asked me, Jaden, and Michael, here asking us to come to the 6 A-M workouts. And then, back then, it was hard, but we went, because we wanted to get better. So, the program's awesome because of Coach Balash," said Mendez.
