Interior legion squads fall to the top team in the state

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Interior legion programs took on the top team in the standings, facing off against the Wasilla Post 35 Road Warriors.
In the two games against the North Pole Post 30 Alaska Wild, the Warriors had to battle back to win.​
In Game 1, the Wild dropped three runs in the bottom of the first.​
However, Post 35 scored three in the top of the fifth on their way to a 9-4 victory.​
Ethan Wolfe led North Pole with 2 hits and 2 runs.​
In Game 2, they went to extra innings as the Road Warriors took the lead early on.​
They gave up three runs in the bottom of the seventh, but were able to retake the lead in the ninth to win 5-4 over the Wild.​
Dustin Peterson led the offense with 1 hit, 1 run and an RBI.​
Then against the Fairbanks Post 11 49ers, the Road Warriors got their offense going in a two-game sweep.​
In Game 1, Wasilla won 9-3 over the 9ers as they were up by seven runs by the fourth inning.​
William Boswood led the 9ers' offense with an RBI.​
Then in Game 2, the Road Warriors went off in a 17-7 victory.​
Jacob Gilbert led their offense with 3 runs, 4 hits and 3 RBIs, while Isaac Roehl led the 9ers with 1 run, 2 hits and an RBI.​
The 49ers and the Wild now prepare for a series against Dimond starting on July 5.​
