Interior Legion Teams Squared up at Marlin Park

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Interior teams for the Alaska Legion League played on Sunday and yesterday, looking to make a playoff push before the season closes.
The Fairbanks Post 11 49ers went head to head against the North Pole Post 30 Wild at Marlin Park.
The Wild kick started with a 8-3 victory over the 49ers to beat their rivals.
The Wild only had 2 runs heading into the 7th inning, but racked up 6 runs in the final frame to snatch the heart out of the Niners.
Fairbanks kept it close, but couldn't withstand the offense from Ethan Wolfe who finished with 3 RBIs and 2 hits.
Chase Reed led the Wild from the mound with 6 innings of work, and only gave up 1 hit and struck out 5 batters.
In last night's matchup, the Wild had to rally to get their 5th win on the season.
North Pole was down 4-1 to start the second inning.
They grabbed the lead in the second with 4 runs, but couldn't hold on to it.
Going into the 7th, the Wild were tied up 8-8, but used 6 runs to once again shock the 49ers.
Alex Garcia led Post 30 with 2 hits, 3 runs, and 2 RBIs, while Zach Christmann had 3 RBIs, 2 hits, and 2 runs.
Brock Weatherspoon and Matthew Williams led from the mound, combining for 4 strikeouts.
