FAIRBANKS, Alaska - How do you start off a series against your in-state rival?
By crushing them in a two game sweep, which the Fairbanks Ice Dogs did dismantling the Kenai River Brown Bears, as they outscored them 12 to 2 over the weekend.
It started on Friday night with the Ice Dogs cruising to a shutout winover Kenai winning seven to zero.
Logan Neaton was in goal for Fairbanks, and with that he held down the fort as he saved 23 shots.
For the Brown Bears, they switched out their goalie after Gavin Enright gave up four goals in the opening period.
However, bringing in the backup goalie did little to discourage the Ice Dogs attacks, as they tacked on three more goals to put the game to rest at 7-0.
