The Ice Dogs lost the second match four to three in overtime, with Samuel Ruffin, Schachle, and Daniel Haider scoring for Fairbanks.

Robert Blueger; Forward - Ice Dogs>>"It was great and everything was going our way. Every shot was going in. We got some lucky bounces but I think we worked very hard and that paid off. And that's always great to see. It's nice but at the same time it puts a lot of pressure on you to keep going and work hard. It's nice but a lot of pressure at the same time."

Tanner Schacle; Forward - Ice Dogs>>"There wasn't really a mentality, like we try to come out the same every night and compete. They were just happening tonight, the bounces were going in for us. It just worked out, we got the two points and that's what matters. They did most of it, they made me look good out there. I just put the puck in the open net. They're the ones moving around to me getting it to me, and finding me so, kudos to them. My hat trick is their hat trick."
