Hutch fall to the Monroe Catholic Rams in Aurora Conference action

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Hutchison Hawks had an important matchup on the volleyball court against the Monroe Catholic Rams, but Hutch couldn't catch a break losing 3-1 against their Aurora Conference foes.
The Rams found success in the first two sets, taking them 25-21 and 25-20.
In the third set, the Hawks battled back to take it 27-25.
But it seemed like they were out of gas as Monroe grabbed the fourth set 25-13.
Chloe Maynard led the Rams with 18 kills, while Marian Nelson chipped in 20 digs on the defensive side.
Abigail Allen and Pamela Noll both dished out 15 assists each, as the Rams stand at the top of the conference.
Raven Drake led the Hawks with 31 digs and Jayda Russel kicked in 9 kills.
The Hawks will try to improve with a match against the West Valley Wolfpack, while the Rams head off to Kotzebue to face the Nome Nanooks.
