FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KXDF) The Hutchison Hawks volleyball program won against the Eielson Ravens in an Aurora Conference game, but that takes a back seat with one of Hutch's senior players made her final appearance for the Hawks.

Alexis Burns played in her final game for Hutch, as the senior will be moving to Germany with her military family. Burns finished the night with 7 digs and 3 kills, as her coach and teammates celebrated around her. The Hawks swept the Ravens thanks to Allyonna Mandreagen's 8 kills and tough defense.

"We were a new team and over the years we started developing better skills together growing together as a team." said Burns about her time at Hutch. "This year I think, well they're going to be doing great things and we already started off with a great season, and just everyone is doing amazing. Because we're always bring each other up and we never like put each other down. We always have a positive attitude and playing with these girls always makes me feel like a second family."

Hutch now prepares for a match-up against Delta on Thursday, while the Ravens travel to Lathrop on Wednesday.
