Goldpanners come out on top of Midnight Sun Game

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Goldpanners finished off the 113th Midnight Sun game with an all-time finish as they sent the hometown crowd home in walk-off fashion.
And remember the name Nyles Nygaard.
Nygaard shot a two-run home run in the bottom of the 9th inning, giving the Panners the 6-4 victory.
Nygaard led the Panners with 3 hits and 3 RBIs pushing Alaska to a close victory over the Orange County Surf.
Toby Davis led them from the mound in his 3 innings of work, getting 4 strikeouts and didn't give up a single hit during that time.
Nygaard spoke after the match about how the home run was for the fans.

"Yeah I mean it's pretty dark out right now so, I was just trying to get a pitch I could drive and I got the count 3-2, he was throwing a pretty nasty splitter and he threw that 2-2 to get 3-2 so I was eliminating that pitch looking for a fastball and I saw it up and put my best swing on it. I was like man, we got to win this one for the fans and win this one for those who played for the Panners and just trying to get, just trying to do my best and help the team win."
