Goldpanners Take Game One Verses the Seals

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Goldapnners started off their series against the San Francisco Seals with a rallying victory.
The Panners needed a rally in the 7th to get their 3-2 victory.
The Seals got on the board first from Matt Monahan hitting a double to score Parker Coleman in the opening inning.
Then Kevin Gregersen hit a single, giving the Seals a 2-0 lead.
Alaska's Alan Vasquez regained his form after the first inning, pitching 7 innings and giving up 7 hits and 2 runs.
Vasquez also finished with 8 strikeouts.
In the bottom of the 7th, the Panners mounted their comeback with Mitchell Allen hitting a single, scoring Nyles Nygaard.
Rollie Nichols then scored when Bryce Kirk hit a sacrifice fly to center field.
And in the 8th inning, the Seals failed t connect on a double play, leaving Patrick Chung open to score the game winning run.
Chung led the Goldpanners, getting on base 3 times, and scoring the tie-breaking run.
Lucas Sweany came in for relief for Alaska, earning the victory with 3 strikeouts in 2 innings.
Tonight, the Panners play Game 2 against the Seals at Growden Park.
