Goldpanners Clinch Final Match Against the Ventura Pirates

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Goldpanners ended their series against the Ventura Pirates on a high note, closing out the Bucs with offensive firepower.
Nyles Nygaard went off from the plate to lead the Panners to their 7-2 victory over Ventura.
Nygaard went for 2 hits, 1 run and 3 RBIs.
His best shot came in the bottom of the 8th, knocking in a 2-run homer to extend the lead to 5.
Toby Davis earned the victory on the mound, working 8-point-1 innings only giving up 2 runs and 3 hits.
He fanned 6 batters, and then Nygaard relieved him to close out the top of the 9th.
The Goldpanners rocked the Pirates for 12 hits, and win the series 5-2.
They now prepare for the San Francisco Seals for their final home series of the 2018 Summer.
This series begins tomorrow night.
