Eielson Ravens face North Pole Patriots in Blood Bowl

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The 2018 season brings back football to us, but it also brings us the Blood Bowl, where the Eielson Ravens face off against the North Pole Patriots.
Both squads are the only teams from the Interior to win state titles, and now we get to see them battle it out on the gridiron.
The Ravens are the number 3 team in the state for their poll, but they are heading into the Patriots home who also received votes.
The Ravens got new transfers, while the Patriots are rebuilding after they had seniors move on in important positions.
Not to mention, this is the Blood Bowl, and these two teams will look to strike first.
The key player for the Dirty Birds is Jaydenn Manibusan, who will be their featured running back after Jeremiah Brown graduated.
For the Patriots, their key component will be their top of their offense.
North Pole said goodbye to their skill position players who graduated this past spring.
Now for the keys to the game.
We start with the Dirty Birds.
First, they need to avoid the turnovers to keep their drives going.
Second, as much as their offense is based on running, if they can find times to open the passing attack to their tight ends then they will catch the Patriots off guard.
And lastly, get the rushing attack going.
Eielson can control the game if they get their running backs started.
Now let's look at North Pole's keys to this Blood Bowl.
First, control the tempo of the match.
If the Patriots can keep the ball on long, sustaining drives they have a chance to take the air out of the ball.
Second, force the Ravens to throw.
And lastly, trust the power of youth.
Let the young guys roll and watch the team grow.
This game is at 7:30 PM tomorrow night.
