Alaska Nanooks Hockey Program Adds 10 New Players

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanooks hockey program has announced its recruiting class under new head coach Erik Largen, and some familiar names are joining the Nooks this Fall.
The Nanooks added 10 players, starting with defenseman Matthew Doran who played for Victoria Grizzlies this past year who had 35 points off of 26 assists in 55 games.
Next is forward Colin Doyle, who played for the Wellington Dukes in the OJHL last season.
Doyle led the Dukes to a 33, 3, 13 record, and had 54 points in the regular season.
In the postseason, he had 24 points in 25 games.
Next is Chase Ellingson who is a forward who played for the Des Moines Buccaneers last year.
Ellingson is coming off of an injury shortened season.
Then we have a defenseman in Jake Gresh who played in the Chilliwack Chiefs program this past season.
Gresh helped his team in a victory over future teammate in Doyle in the RBC cup.
Then we come to the goalie Gustavs Grigals who played for the Shreveport Mudbugs last year in the NAHL.
His save percentage was 9-25.
Then a couple of Ice Dogs have joined with Sam Ruffin and Caleb Hite staying in town.
Next, Steven Jandric is joined by his brother Chris who played for the Vernon Vipers.
Also from the NAHL is Jordan Muzzillo who played for the Springfield Blues.
And lastly, it is Antti Virtanen from the Sioux Falls Stampede.
