FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Last night was full of upsets with the Hutchison girls and the Eielson boys raking in huge victories in the Aurora Conference Tournaments.
Hutch faced the number one seeded Galena Hawks in the semifinals, and pulled off the upset 48-45.
Hutchison was coming off a first round victory over the Delta Junction Huskies in the first round, and they took down Galena to make it to the finals.
The Eielson Ravens had a great night in Valdez after they upset the two seeded Monroe Catholic Rams.
The Dirty Birds won 39-35 behind some clutch free throws down the stretch.
Eielson have shown to win on both ends of the court by scoring 91 in their first round matchup, and hold a strong offense to only 35 points.
They will face the top seeded Valdez Buccaneers in the finals of the Aurora Conference.
Monroe now prepares for their consolation matchup against the Hutchison Hawks.
The Lady Rams faced the second seeded Valdez Buccaneers in the semifinals, but unfortunately they fell 36-27 to the Bucs.
They responded with a 43-29 victory over the Delta Junction Huskies.

The 2019 Iditarod race has been full of great twists and turns as the top five changes once again.
As Nicolas Petit still holds onto first with him into the Grayling Checkpoint.
Meanwhile the next three mushers have left the Anvik Checkpoint and stayed there for a combined for a total of 6 minutes.
In second we have Joar Leifseth Ulsom and in third we have Jessie Royer.
Up next in fourth is Mitch Seavey who has made a big push to get into the Top Five.
And to round it off, Peter Kaiser holds onto the fifth spot.
Currently in the red lantern spot is the rookie Alison Lifka.
