ASAA postpones AK state basketball tournaments due to coronavirus

FAIRBANKS, Alaska. (KTVF) The Alaska School Activities Association has announced that the Alaska state basketball tournaments have been postponed indefinitely in regards to the coronavirus.

This decision comes on the same day that the World Health Organization declared global pandemic.

In an email from ASAA, they mandated that all conference tournaments after March 14 are postponed until further notice.

The 1A/2A tournaments were slated to start next week in Anchorage from March 18-21.
