Fairbanks' Ruthy Hebard selected 8th overall in WNBA Draft

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) Fairbanks' very own Ruthy Hebard has made it to the big leagues. The 2016 West Valley graduate was selected 8th overall by the Chicago Sky in Friday's WNBA Draft.

Hebard is the third Alaskan drafted to the league and to have attended high school in Fairbanks. Jessica Moore, of Colony high school, was taken 24th in 2005, while Kelsey Griffin, out of Chugiak, was drafted third overall in 2010.
